It's the single largest complaint point I've seen here. While I personally think some of the complaints are overblown, or just weird - the fact remains that the buik of complaints are nTrig specific.
It doesn't help that the big name graphics app makers like Adobe seem not HP Slate 500 N-trig HID totally unwilling to support Microsoft Ink the actual Windows standard API for ink and touchbut insist on WinTab, which is a proprietary API - the conversations with Chris Cox at Adobe are almost astonishing in how abusive and arrogant he is about this. At the same time, nTrig seems equally unwilling to just bite the bullet and license a proper WinTab driver and fix it from their end.

The one they've licensed is really poor quality and barely works with Photoshop, let alone anything else. Not to mention leaving little debug files behind all over the place Wacom seems to be the only one who acknowledges artists at all. What makes this all much more bizarre is that HP has gone through all this before - with the tx2 line.
A lot of people bought them for artwork only to find none of the major art apps support the nTrig. Eventually, they replaced the tx2 with the tm2 which is virtually identical - but has a Wacom screen. So why use the nTrig in the Slate?
On a laptop you have the touchpad control that allows you to turn off HP Slate 500 N-trig HID it senses a mouse plugged in or when you are typing. I was browsing the internet the other day and happened on a blog post where the blogger found a workaround. What is this workaround going to do?
This will temporarily disable the touch control on the Slate. This would be similar to selecting Pen Only above.

This will allow only Pen touch only and the touch is temporarily disabled. Going to download a program that is a that when run connects to the Device Manager like view that allows you to enable and disable devices.
However the steps below will create a shortcut or command line that will be used to disable the touch. You can also pin the shortcuts to the Task Bar for easy use.
